There have been some phenomenal female music artists over the years. The list of female singers that have inspired young girls all over the world to want to sing is extensive. Some of my favorites include Lauryn Hill, Angie Stone, Nora Jones, Tina Turner, Tracy Chapman, Maria Callas, Amy Winehouse, Eva Cassidy, Anna Vissi, Gladys Night and Whitney Houston. All of the aforementioned female music artists are excellent singers. However, of all female music artists I think most people would agree that there is one who is better than all of the rest. The most naturally talented of all the female music artists I’ve ever heard is Aretha Franklin.
Of course some musicians would argue that Maria Callas was the most talented of all female music artists, but I beg to differ. Maria Callas was technically excellent and her range was amazing. However, in terms of raw talent Aretha Franklin has the edge over Maria Callas. Very few female music artists have come anywhere close to Aretha Franklin in terms of raw power and emotional expression when it comes to singing.
