Female music artists are rising into popularity, many of which are country music singers. These young womenmay very well be the next generation of famous solo rock artists.
One singer that is breaking out into the mainstream is Taylor Swift. She is as fresh faced as a Neutrogena model with the potential to be one of the great country music singers who have preceded her. At only 18 years old, the country pop star has sold near 3 million copies in the U.S. of a self-titled debut album which was released in late 2006. She has already produced four Top Ten singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs, including the Number One Single "Our Song". Swift is also building her reputation as one of those crossover country music singers. Four of her Top Ten singles have been seen on the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100, which reveals her likability to the general public.
Originally from Reading, Pennsylvania, the singer-songwriter and musician was able to develop her talents in vocals, guitar, and piano. However, her notable instrument is the Koa Wood guitar.
